Cookie Policy
Effective Date: June 15, 2026
This Cookie Policy is provided by Datalift, LLC, a New Jersey Limited Liability Company, doing business as Admiral ("Admiral," "we," "us," or "our").
This Cookie Policy supplements the information in our Privacy Policy and explains how we use cookies and related technologies to manage and provide Admiral websites, products, and services, collectively referred to as "Services."
Cookies are small text files stored on your computer. Pixels are small amounts of code on a webpage or in an email that provide a method for delivering content, like an image on a webpage.
Why do we use cookies?
Admiral uses cookies for the following purposes:
- To help you access and use the Services
- To understand how visitors use and interact with our Services
- To set your preferences
- To provide relevant, interest-based advertising
- To understand if you opened and engaged with an email
- To analyze and improve our Services
Who sets cookies on Admiral?
Cookies are sometimes placed by Admiral, known as first-party cookies, and sometimes third-party cookies are set by our service providers, such as analytics providers who provide analytics and interest-based advertising. When third-party cookies are set by service providers, they are providing a service or function to Admiral, as well as achieving the service provider's own purposes. Admiral cannot control how third-party cookies are used.
On the public marketing website, optional analytics and advertising technologies are collected only after you provide express consent (legal basis under Article 6 (1) (1) (a) GDPR) where required. You can revoke your consent or opt out at any time by updating your preferences under the Cookie Preferences link in the footer. These settings apply to the marketing site only; they do not control product analytics in the Admiral web application (see Admiral web application). Please note that preferences must be set for each browser and device. Revoking consent stops future analytics and marketing tags from loading on the marketing site; cookies already placed by third parties may persist until you clear them in your browser.
When you submit a waitlist or contact form, we may store campaign attribution (such as UTM parameters or ad click identifiers) and a session analytics reference on your HubSpot contact record so we can respond to your inquiry and understand how you found us. This applies even if you decline optional analytics cookies; it does not enable session recording or marketing tags.
Admiral web application (app.admiral.io)
This Cookie Policy describes tracking on our public marketing website (for example, admiral.io and its documentation pages). It works differently from our authenticated Admiral web application at app.admiral.io, which you access after creating an account.
When you use the web application, we collect usage data to operate, secure, and improve the product — for example, which features you use, errors you encounter, and performance of the service. We may use analytics tools such as PostHog in the web application, including session replay and event tracking tied to your account, to understand product behavior and fix issues. This is product analytics for a service you signed up to use, not anonymous marketing measurement on our public website.
The cookie preferences banner and footer link on the marketing website do not apply to the web application. Optional analytics and advertising cookies described elsewhere in this policy — including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and the LinkedIn Insight Tag — are used on the marketing site and are gated behind your cookie choice there. The web application does not use those marketing tags for remarketing or ad optimization.
When you register for an account, you accept our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which describe how we process personal data when you use the web application. Where applicable law requires consent for specific web application analytics (such as session replay), we obtain it as part of signup or in your account settings. Otherwise, web application usage analytics are processed to perform our contract with you and to pursue our legitimate interest in improving the product, as described in our Privacy Policy.
To exercise privacy rights related to your account or to ask questions about web application analytics, contact [email protected].
How do I manage my cookies?
On the marketing website, Admiral provides a cookie preferences tool accessible from the footer of each webpage. You can accept or reject optional analytics and marketing cookies. With the exception of "strictly necessary" cookies that are essential for the Services to operate, optional cookies are not placed until you accept them. Please note that disabling some cookies may cause certain features of the Services to not function properly.
Most web browsers also allow you to delete cookies already placed, which may delete the settings and preferences controlled by those cookies, including advertising preferences. You can find instructions to remove any cookies that have been created in the cookie folder of your browser at All About Cookies.
Global Privacy Control
"Global Privacy Control" (GPC) is a privacy preference you can set in your web browser to notify websites that you do not want your Personal Data shared with or sold to independent third-parties without your consent. Admiral honors GPC in those jurisdictions where its recognition is required by applicable law, such as California, Colorado and Connecticut. At this time, we do not respond to web browser "Do Not Track" signals.
Self-Regulatory Programs
Service providers may participate in self-regulatory programs that provide ways to opt out of analytics and interest-based advertising, which you can access at:
- United States: NAI and DAA
- Canada: Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada
- Europe: European Digital Advertising Alliance
Web Beacons
Most email clients have settings which allow you to prevent the automatic downloading of images, which will disable web beacons in the email messages you read.
Mobile Advertising IDs
On mobile devices, advertising IDs provided by the platform may be collected and used similar to cookie IDs. You may use the controls on iOS and Android operating systems that allow you to limit tracking and/or reset the advertising IDs.
What types of cookies do we use?
Admiral utilizes four categories of cookies: strictly necessary cookies, functional cookies, performance and analytics cookies, as well as targeting and advertising cookies.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. They enable core functionality such as security, network management, and accessibility. You cannot opt-out of these cookies as they are essential for the service to work.
Functional Cookies
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your preferences and settings. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages.
Performance and Analytics Cookies
On the marketing website, we use analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with our public pages. These cookies help us improve the site by providing information about areas visited, time spent, and any issues encountered. We use this information only with your consent on the marketing site. Usage analytics in the authenticated Admiral web application are described in Admiral web application and in our Privacy Policy.
Targeting and Advertising Cookies
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites to display relevant advertisements. These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. We use these cookies only with your consent.
Third-Party Cookies
In addition to our own cookies, we may also use various third-party cookies to report usage statistics of the service and deliver advertisements on and through the service. The following table provides an overview of the third-party services we use:
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Type | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Tag Manager | Google LLC | Tag management system that loads analytics and advertising tags after consent | Analytics, Advertising | Privacy Policy |

Note: Some subprocessors like AWS (infrastructure hosting) and Stripe (payment processing) do not set cookies on our website but may process data as described in our Subprocessors list and Data Processing Addendum.
Managing Cookies
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings preferences. However, limiting cookies may impact your ability to use certain features of our website.
You can opt-out of certain cookies by:
- Adjusting your browser settings to refuse cookies
- Using browser extensions that block cookies
- Visiting the opt-out pages of third-party providers
- Using our cookie preferences tool accessible from the footer of each webpage
For more information about cookies and how to manage them, please visit All About Cookies.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Cookie Policy on this page and updating the "Effective date". You are advised to review this Cookie Policy periodically for any changes.
